Hi all,
Thought this might be of interest to some of our researchers.

My husband is a descendant of that Anthony Hayden/Haden(b. England 1694)
who married Margaret Douglas (b. Scotland). They came to North Carolina
about 1720, then on to Virginia where he died about 1797 at age 103.
Most of the information I have on this family has come from the book "John
Haden of Virginia" by Dorothy K. Haden. She lists his ancestors as follows:
1. John Hayden, b.1600, beheaded 1655 England
2. James Hayden, b.1625, d. 1685 England
3. Samuel Hayden, b. 1649 England
4. Anthony Hayden, b. 1694 Hadden Hall (Norfolk) England
Recently I found in the Ancestral File at the local FHC the following:
1. Christopher Heydon, b. abt 1516 in Norfolk, England
m.(1) Agnes Crane; (2) Anne Drury; (3) Temperance Carew
2. William Heydon b. 1540 in Norfolk, Eng
m. Anne Woodhouse
3. William Heydon b. abt 1570 who m.Anne (a brother of this William is
another Christopher Heydon, b. 1561 in Norfolk, Eng)
4. Robert Heydon b. 1613 in West Stowe, Norfolk, Eng
m. Elizabeth Smith 1638/39
5. Thomas Heydon b. 1632 Burlington Parish, Norfolk, Eng
m. Lydia Lipsey 1654
6. Thomas Haydon b. 1650 St. Giles Parish, Norfolk, Eng
m. Mary Frosdicke 1672
7. Anthony Haydon/Haden b. 26 Aug 1694 St. Michaels, Norfolk, Eng
m. Margaret Douglas
Unfortunately this particular file is not available on microfilm, but it
certainly seems to be well researched with many dates, places listed.
There are two submitters with changes listed as recent as July of 1995.
I see that the above Christopher & William seem to be the ones referred to
in the new posting of the Hayden Coat of Arms on Edward J. Hayden's
HomePage.
Can anyone add anything to either lineage to clarify Anthony's ancestors?
I would appreciate any advice/help/discussion.
